I have to agree that a 16 year old difference is a GREAT premise for a catfight story.  And the step mom angle is good.  But I would add that after the husband of the mom left them (or maybe died) that one of the two gets a new hot boyfriend.  And whichever gets the new boyfriend, he is way closer in age to the other.  i.e. if the mom gets the new b.f. then the new guy is 21, and if the daughter gets the new b.f. the new guy is 30ish.  The last one makes more sense, psychologically because the younger girl would really want a new daddy!     But then again, the aging mom wants to be a cougar to help her feel younger!

Would love to read some stories. My partner (17 year difference with her mother) has been in 3 proper fights with her mum, first at 21 years old, then 25 and the last at 32, they simply fought because they hate each other. Family get togethers and alcohol, never a dull moment

I would have loved every second tbh - but I missed them all as I didn't get with my partner until she was 34 - there is always Christmas though!
