Resizing embedded pics using the img tag

Hello how do I resize a picture that I'm embedding in a post?  I've been using the img tag and I've tried a few things that having worked like adding width or size =

It used to be possible to add modifiers like the above to the img tag to resize in the manner you're describing.  However, that functionality has been broken for some time.  I think there were some modifications to the board about a year ago or so, and ever since the bbcode hasn't been able to support it.
