Survival of the Weakest Round One: Author's Note

Hey Everyone,
What follows is the first round of the Survival of the Weakest Tournament based on your voting.  While I didn't fully agree with all of the outcomes, I bow to the wishes of the masses.  I haven't written a story in years so it took a little getting used to getting back on the horse, so I hope everyone enjoys.  Please feel free to comment (good, bad, indifferent) and I also took the liberty of setting up a Twitter account http://www.twitter.com/canadianlou and I hope if you have Twitter that you'll take a moment to follow me (since I just set up the account and have 0 followers).  You can also message me directly from there if you so wish.  Again enjoy and thank you all for making this such an active, exciting site.
