Can clothes provoke a catfight?

Interested in the views of others. Can what a woman wears provoke a fight? I ask because I saw a fight years ago outside a pub when a woman I used to work with got roughed up and the words I heard from the other woman in the pub before the fight were 'the one in the mini skirt and boots'

A few years ago my wife worked for a bank and the women had to dress professionally, you know skirts and nylons. Well there was a woman she worked with and the 2 of them didn't like each other to a point where they nearly came to blows one day. Anyway, a few weeks later the other woman came to work wearing a skirt and black fishnet pantyhose. My wife thought that it was very inappropriate for her to be wearing fishnets and she said something to her manager. After that I didn't hear anything about the other woman wearing fishnets again.

Most bars & clubs have their regulars.  They are very territorial of "their" place.  Add a pretty new girl proactively dressed that is turning the heads of "their" guys and the fur is sure to fly.

They definitely can!  I've gotten dirty looks in pubs and clubs if I'm wearing something short or low cut.  Some girls don't like competition lol.  Never had it go to an all-out smackdown but there have been words exchanged, from me and them, on more than one occasion.
