Only three weeks after Jane Russell another former movie star and member of Glamour Fights' 1950s tournament has sadly passed away. Elizabeth Taylor, DBE. one of the greatest English actresses of all-time and twice Academy Award winner has died of heart failure aged 79.

Yes that is too great sex symbols who had died in a short period of time. I don't know how many are left from my 50s tournament. I don't think anyone can deny that Elizabeth was a true sex symbol. She was more than that. She went from a cute little girl in National Velvet to a very sexy woman as in Cat on a Hot tin Roof to a very formidable woman as in Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf. She continued to be a formidable woman with all the causes she was active in.
