Friendship Group

I have heard of girls, who were in the same friendship group...but weren't friends(they just had mutual friends in the group) who didn't like each other, having catfighs

I was wondering if any of you guys, have heard of cat fights, that happened between two girls in the same friendship group.

And, also how many times did, they fight?.  I remember hearing about two girls in the same friendship group, who liked the same guy... an they actually went at it a couple times... until one girl, literally gave up chasing the guy..lol

Years ago my wife and I were part of a group with 3 other couples. One of the women, Lori, and my wife friendship was luke warm at best. Over the next few years Lori was a little nasty towards both of us. The last few months before we drifted away from the group Lori was getting more nasty to my wife. We finally stopped bothering with them.
I always felt that Lori was looking to pick a fight with my wife and if we hadn't broke away it might have happened.

I have always experienced cold shoulder vibes between girls who get together as a part of the same group due to mutual connections but having no individual affinity towards each other.

However in such scenarios catfights can only happen if anybody is visibly mean towards other or it is always about a cold war of power and territorial struggle.

I have noticed that many times with other couples we bring together.  We love them, they love us, so we just assume that they will love each other.  So we invite them all to events, parties, etc.  But every now and then, some of them just don't click.  Especially the women.  Even after multiple get events, they never really warm up to each other and occasionally trash each other behind the back.  Part of what I think I love about women fighting.  If they hate each other that hate only seems to grow.  Of course we eventually kind of deliberately don't get them in the same room (my wife's idea... believe me).  Sometimes even decades later they will be trashing each other behind the others back.
