I'm surprised no one answered your question.  I'll give you my thoughts because I think it's an interesting question.   I'm a long-time catfight fan, not of real fights but of well-done, scripted catfights.  When I was young, it was straight on catfighting that I liked.  But over the years, especially over the past decade, my tastes changed to more erotic catfights and titfights.  I've learned to like the blend of physical and sexual fighting, intense and lusty, "hate and love", the escalation of physical fighting to sexual fighting.  I look for scripted fights from companies, and artwork, that fit this bill as much as possible.  In this sense, I don't mind if the women kiss while fighting, but I prefer it's more of a forced tactic aimed at weakening the opponent, or a result of uncontrolled lust caused but intimate and naked fighting.  That's not to say that I like all of the Fighting Dolls kissing when that's more a part of lesbian wrestling.   But even there, it depends on who the women are and how intense the match gets.

That's exactly what I wanted to promote here: A discussion about what we like and what we  don't. There is no good or bad answers. The answers depend on everyone tastes. Curiously. I have a mix of all the preferences  listed by you. For example, I identify myself with your following phases :

"I like real brutal action where you can feel the tense atmosphere at home watching .

"I like the animosity between the two women being so raw that they can't stand each others' presence"

"...I prefer it's more of a forced tactic aimed at weakening the opponent" . I would add:  Or aimed at  humiliating, mocking  or infuriating even more the opponent, as long as  it kept  eventual during the whole fight (only once, preferred).

My tastes also have changed during the years. On my 20's I proffered catfights that ended with  both ladies totally naked. Years after, that changed to "at  least topless (in  panties/thongs) ". Currently I'm even liking some (a few ones, but still liking")  sexy dressed catfights.  Am i getting old?  :o

The second catfight in the movie "The Amazons" is IMO the best movie catfight ever produced.  BUT it ends with the two combatants engaged in a short love fest.  That's when I hit the STOP button.

    Even back in the day DWW had sex fight matches that in Czech are listed at Trib fights, FD has also filmed this type of match. DWW started it in response of the rise of Ultimate Surrender and Academy producing Sex fight style matches out of San Fran.
   I don't mind the sex part after the competitive match has ended but hate the kissing during the match! Academy was much better at shooting real matches and then sex but US had to much sex in match.
