Seen some posts on Twitter that Gumroad are going through and removing NSFW content, just a heads up to fellow producers and fans

Any stores with topless content are getting shut down

I'm sure by now you've all heard the news about Gumroad stopping sales of all NSFW content.

While access to your purchases SHOULD remain unaffected in your Library, I still think it would be a VERY good idea to download backups of all your purchases, just to be safe.

I heard it's because of the companies that deal with how money is transferred on their sites prudish and ultra conservative points of view towards adult material refusing to alow payment for AO content. Basically the same thing that always affects the adult industry.

Now I see this discussion about close down at topless wrestling so long time. But still they are at Gumroad. So I just wonder if its really closes? Or maybe they have give some time limit so these stores have some time to move further?

I haven't seen any changes either. I wonder if they've reconsidered?

Its all very strange.  They have definately implemented a keyword filter for descriptions which helpfully doesn't tell you which word or words are not allowed which is yet another faff, but although some studios have been purged it doesn't seem to be a total site wide ban as of yet

They ban "topless" and "thong" in the product description for instance.
But they still allow to check the ''adult content" box when publishing a product.

Maybe the studios that got purged were too extreme? Perhaps they're trying not to go full on XXX porn and though they'll allow NSFW content they're limiting how far they'll let creators go... maybe
IDK I have no inside track on any of this so I'm just spitballing theories here.
