Bear, I agree, I would also love to know what started this fight.  I was also impressed that the crowd stood back and let them fight for a while before stepping in.

One thing that I learned as a teacher was that it was better to let the combatants fight themselves into fatigue (provided that no one was getting pounded) which happened pretty fast, before stepping in.  It made breaking things up a lot easier and safer.

Strange that Bear,  a retired policeman, who had no idea of my excited interest,  said exactly the same.  He said  if one had early success you have to wait until the other has a chance to retaliate because if you try to seperate them before honour is satisfied, it almost impossible.
