Passing of Matilda the Hun / Queen Kong

Per the Facebook page of the Hollywood Knockouts oil wrestling team (https://www.facebook.com/hollywoodknockouts):

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deanna Booher January 7, 2022. Having lived a prolific career as a wrestler, roller derby skater, actress and singer, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Best known as the legendary Matilda the Hun, Queen Kong and Queen Adrena, She worked with us at the Hollywood Tropicana early years as the infamous QUEEN KONG she was a pioneer for the advancement of women in sports and performance art and led the way for many of the women who are experiencing success today. Our deepest condolences go out to her family and friends.  We have lost a very dear friend, Sending hugs and body slams to you, Queenie!"

Very, very sorry to hear this.  She was truly a pioneer and one of a kind.   Her resume was amazing and she was always popping up on TV or in a film or video.  Quite a stage presence and personality!  I even had a brief email exchange with her once and found her to be very accommodating.

Just got word another legend passed. RIP Candy Devine not only a pro wrestling great but dabbled in session wrestling towards the end of her career.

That's too bad.  I would imagine that she was quite young.  Sorry to hear this.

Yes, Candi was only 63, of a collapsed lung it appears.

I am deeply saddened about the passing of Deanna Booher.

I've worked in RTF all of my life, and have had brief contact with her regarding potential film projects that never panned out.

I can, however say, that she was always kind, down to earth and honest with me.... even if I didn't like it.

She will be missed....
