Sad news for horror fans and admirers of natural beauty today - actress Ingrid Pitt passed away, apparently from heart failure.

Renowned as a staple of the Hammer horror films, Pitt brought a touch of glamour to such classics as The Vampire Lovers, Countess Dracula and of course the cult classic, The Wicker Man.

Catfight fans will fondly remember her in particular for her wild tussle in the film Who Dares Wins...

Pitt's daughter paid tribute to her mother, citing her as "incredibly generous, loving, and she'll be sorely missed," adding that she wanted her mother to be remembered for her role in Countess Dracula with "the wonderful teeth and the wonderful bosom".
