With the death of Craigslist personals, I am wondering if anyone ever had any success in trying to find someone to fight with an online personals ad? (obvious exemption being here on Freecatfights) Did you seek out a fight or just some similar interests, did you respond to an ad, would you ever make an ad like that or respond if you found one?
You can't beat me because you can't hurt me!
(I must be the greatest fighter who ever lived. I defeated every woman who ever challenged me without ever throwing a single punch)!

My roommate used CL alot to attempt to find women willing to box for his fight group.  He had found several women from the responses and had, up to now, 6 fights so far for the group. The fights have gone well. I was in one of the fights.

Yes we have had success in the past using CL. I would advise extreme vetting and since it will likely be local definitely meet up for a drink at a more well known establishment as first in person contact.

While adult ads do work after much research finding another woman that wants exactly the style match and rules you do, sadly more than not you might find 1 in a 100, I used adult ads in past but like the web you have no idea what's waiting for you no matter what's advertised or told to you, I.e. posers or jobbers or wackos, after many years I learned through another female fighter that referrals are the best way to build a never ending contact list, it's so simple it's silly not more do it, if you know at least 1 other fighter and she knows at least 1 other then she passes your info on to that next fighter and you do the same for her, you meet and then repeat the same procedure, it works great, it's super safe, and best of all your and their reputation gets you contacts, so if you or anyone is deemed a rule breaker or bad attitude what have you, your name won't be passed on hence the emails stop coming for a match, if you fight hard by the numbers and are a good sport win or lose your emails will be exploding with others wanting the same.

Happy to say these listings have NOT been removed from Craig'sList in Canada
