Former wrestling star and actor Joan Marie Laurer, better known by her ring name Chyna, has died aged 45.
The one-time WWE performer and bodybuilder was found dead in her bed, her management confirmed to ABC7 Entertainment's George Pennacchio, who broke the news on Twitter.
TMZ add that her death may have come about as a result of a possible overdose, with Chyna openly admitting to drug problems earlier in her career.
Chyna was one of the big names in female wrestling, winning the WWE Women's Championship and also enjoying victories over high-profile male wrestlers, including Triple H, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho and Jeff Jarrett.

I know she went off the rails somewhat in recent years which might harm her reputation with some but it doesn't change the fact that she was a great performer and did a lot to advance women's wrestling. It's great that she participated in mixed gender matches and such a shame that this is something you see more of these days.
