women wearing the same dress

many catfight stories and pictorials involve 2 women at an event wearing the same dress. Have any women on this forum ever experienced something like this?  Why do many people believe that if 2 women are wearing the same dress that they must fight?

I was on a corporate party once and other woman was wearing dress very similar to mine. Seems like is was ocasional and nuther she nor didn't want to insult one another, but, i was trying to be as far from her as i could, i was really annoyed and wanted to kill her lol...
