I've talked to a few women over the years (and I've been talking to people about catfighting for a lot of years now) who have gotten into wrestling or catfighting by:

- Older sister was into it and got her into it
- Mom was into it and got her into it (either by mom talking about it or she found out on her own)
- Aunt, cousin, or other female family member was into it
- She found her dad's catfight or oil wrestling videos/magazines and liked what she saw

I've also met some who claim to have been the mom who got her daughter into it or and older sister who got her younger sister into it.

Those that I talked to described it as a great (if unique) way to bond with their family member who was into it, which I thought was a great thing.

Has anyone out there had the same or similar experiences?  Or know anyone in that type of situation? Have you enjoyed being able to share the interest with family or did it not work out so well?  Please share your experiences with us.  I'm sure I'm not the only one that would love to hear about it.

Many women I have chatted with have voiced a desire to fight their mom or daughter. I can understand that since there seems to be an underlying sense of jealousy even among mom and daughters.

combatmommy - can you share any details?  who in your family is into it?

I think it's fairly natural for daughters to follow their moms that compete. Same with sisters that are brought up in the same environment. Of course it's not an absolute but if a daughter discovers her mom's "hobby", she's somewhat more likely to be intrigued by it and maybe give it a try.

My sister and I have fought all our lives..our mother didn't stop us as youngsters, looking back I think she even encouraged it.  We're very close in age so naturally competitive over just about anything..still are!

I would think that to be fairly normal.  Sibling jealousy is a very strong force even in mature people.

I think sisters would be ok, but daughter who gets into it because of dad's videos would be weird. He's watching it for sexual pleasure...but I think it'd be hot to talk to girls who got into it and were normal girls, not paid by producers. I think regular girls who do this are super sexy.
