Phone text message to word

I have been writing thru droid phone text messaging a story for a friend recently. I would like to convert it to maybe word format to put up on this sight. I have had little luck doing this. Can anyone give me help figuring out how to do this?

Hi. I don't know if you've tried this:

Install the program and select back up messages to gmail. Then go to Gmail and from Gmail start copy pasting the messages to Word.
