Who would you consider the winner in a fight like this? Here is the scenario:

The fight starts out normally, two girls pulling hair and swinging. One of them lands 3-4 really good shots and does some minor damage, maybe a busted nose, lip, black eye or something like that. Then the other girl takes her opponent down and gets on top in a good position. She rains down punches and lands a lot, her opponent can feel them but they do no real damage. Eventually the fight is broken up.

Who would you count the winner?

Since the fight was stopped there is no "winner" but the girl who was in the controlling position and attacking when it was interrupted was "winning".

Let's just say it was stopped because that often happens when it goes to the ground. People break it up.

I recently saw a similar fight on the internet. The fight started with clean fists. Both girls managing 5-6 real good shots. One girl absolutely pounded the others girls nose and it started bleeding. However the other girl stood tall and took her opponent on the ground and hit some really good punches and then it was a hairpulling squabble. The girl who was bleeding was on top and after few seconds decided to let go. Inthis case I think both the fighters had a claim to victory. As per unofficial "street" rules the one who bleeds loses. So technically the person who was on top  lost. But then again she was on top and dominated a good portion so she also can claim victory. Real winner here was the spectators who got to see such an amazing intense catfight
