Cannot update username - database error?

Hi all,

I am trying to update my username but each time I try I see this:
Database Error
Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator.

Any ideas, please? Thank you.

If you mean the name you log in with only an administrator can change it for you.
If you want me to change it let me know what name you'd like it to be.

Thanks for your reply! I realize what the issue was. I believe the symbol/icon I wanted to use in my display name was not recognized by the forum's code databse of what symbols/icons it will support -- it just didn't exist in the forum's database, hence why it said there was a database error. So I just used a simple < and > instead to update my display name.
