Help Finding '80s Movie

It looked like something from the early 1980s.  The plot revolved around a woman wrestler who was dating a newspaper reporter documenting her career.   Anybody seen it?

New York Nights has a great catfight scene in a ring and matches with what the OP is describing. First saw it in college and it made a huge impression.
