Title: Biggest catfight letdown.
Post by: HollyCat on January 23, 2015, 05:47:30 PM
Hi i was wondering if anyone else had got their expectations of a great catfight happening turn into nothing more than a little kitty skirmish  ???  My worst letdown was on Flash Gordon when everything was in place for a catfight between Princess Aura and Dale on a large bed. Two sexy feisty women in hot outfits fighting over Flash surely there should have at least been some hairpulling.  Catfights on here don't count so i am not an option  :P  just in films, tv programmes, or maybe catfights you have seen irl.  Thank yous and add pictures if you like  :)

Hi Crenshaw thanks for taking time to share your story  :) it must be worse when it is your gf that wont stick up for herself. I prefer if both women are really up for the catfight and just go at each other. I like long even catfights   :)

Here's another of mine the film Dead Or Alive with Holly Valance. Sort of knew with the title and trailers it would be martial arts fighting but had a hope Holly's fight on the beach in the rain would of turned into more of a sexy catfight on the beach. I'm sure lots enjoyed it with martial arts though.

I get really upset when a catfight in any movie is played up and they finally throw down and there's no hair pulling. It's a real bummer

It happens too much Meow especially on tv where it is built up in the tv mags and papers then turns out to be a wee skirmish  :(  I guess they aren't thinking about catfight fans when making shows or films though.

I've never heard of Raze 1000castaway  ???   Sounds like war films would be much more exciting if you were writing the story Junglequeensman  ;) i've seen lots about Barbarella but never watched it even though i like fantasy films.

Those cf disappointments in TV, movies, etc.  are teases to keep you watching, of course. skip the show and watch them on youtube later. greatest disappontment- more on the 3-d relity side-- no-shows. I once drove 2 hours to a match with the person getting - so she showed- but then unwilling to go through with it. learned my lesson on how to set i up better after that. Also people who cat do what they think and said they can, when push comes to shove, so to say it.

Think i need to watch Where Eagles Dare again it's been ages and my memory is going badly  :) i think we should rewrite it and make our own catfight version...who's got lots of money?   :P    They must be teasers Kate but you wonder if they know a catfight will get better viewing ratings why not make it a good one so more people might keep watching..i don't know why maybe easier to film a quick pushing fight  ???  It must be even worse when you have spent money and traveled to see one then nothing happens i would start a fight myself i think lol

Great picture thanks Junglequeensman i will have to watch it  :)  I don't fancy Barbarella's chances in this catfight...look at pointy horn on the queen it's lethal.

In the book Where Eagles Dare, the women go to the next room to fight.  Too bad they didn't put it in the movie.

I've always wanted to see a good catfight in a bring it on movie. The one that had Hayden panitiere would have been sweet

Guess i need to stop being lazy and start reading books again  :) It would be worse reading the fight in the book then watching the film all ready to see it brought to screen then nothing   :(

I've only seen one Bring it on film Meow but it looks like there was plenty opportunities for catfights and with Hayden fighting it would be hot  :o

Everyone of the movies has had epic potential but most were let downs. (Unfortunately have had to see every one thanks to the girlfriend haha) there was a fight (kinda) with Hayden but again it was a let down

Watching all the catfights that turn into nothing is worth it when one unexpectedly turns into a sexy hairpulling struggle like in Ugly Betty  :)

I think that junglequeensman hit it with Barbarella.  I remember watching the movie in the theater as a teenager and praying for a catfight.   After all, Jane Fonda showed that she could throw-down in her 3-second catfight in Walk on the Wild Side.  The costumes, the women, the genre, just had "great catfight" written all over it.  Too bad that Roger Corman wasn't the producer.  Then we would have had a great one.

But in the ages before VHS and the Internet, I used to stay up until all hours watching movie after movie that had promise -- too many to remember any titles - only to be disappointed time and again.  But hope sprung eternal.

One that I do remember was a movie entitled Johnny Guitar.  It was a western made in the early 1950's and it starred two headliner actresses: Joan Crawford and Mercedes McCambridge.  The two women were long and bitter rivals vying for control of the local town.  After an entire 90 minute build-up, the climatic scene had them confront each other outside of Ms. Crawford's hideout.  Great chance for a knock-down, drag-out decisive catfight, right?  Not a chance.  They ended up shooting each other.  All I could say was "F*** me for staying up and watching this."

That's my story.

I too was let down and disappointed by Flesh Gordon and Barbarella. I rented each from my local video store and stuck them in my VCR, on fast forward, looking for the catfights - alas, in vain!

Thank God for the internet. Not because I no longer have to bother driving down to the video store and renting movies in the usually forlorn hope of finding a bit of girl fight action, but because, with so much great content available on line from catfight/wrestling producers past and present, I no longer have to bother looking for it in "the movies" at all.

Lol Bear sounds like you have had your share of disappointments  :)  Westerns had lots of good catfights in them but the only problem was everybody loved shooting each other  :P Calamity Jane was one i remember being a let down but she was a bit of a tomboy in the film so shouldn't have expected any more. Thanks for your story Bear. The internet is great for catfights Kafkod and saves time and money but i still like when you watch a film or tv show not knowing if the catfight will happen it just seems more exciting when you don't expect it. Guess Homer sums it up for a lot of us   :)

Wow, thanks for the info! I knew Marge wouldn't let me down. I've watched over 300 episodes of the Simpsons so far, hoping to see her in a catfight, and now I know my quest will not be in vain! Only about another 200 to go ....

Thanks for sharing the Marge catfight clip castaway i had looked for pics but couldn't find any  :)  Looks like castaway saved you a lot of time Kafkod though i would probably still watch the other 200 simpsons is great.  I think Marge handled herself pretty well in that catfight Irene though i think she should wear her crazy hair in a ponytail next time what a target for a bitchy hairpuller. Talking of bitches Anne Marie seems a right nasty bitch... thanks for taking time to post the way it went in the book  :) i would have liked to see Zeta Jones in a catfight i think she could really kick some butt.

Sometimes when it is a show you know there will never be a actual catfight in you look forward to a bitchy trash talking argument. I have been looking forward to Katie Price and Cami Li the two most feisty women in Celeb Big Bro clashing. Last night it happened when Katie accused Cami of talking about her. The whole room went silent and it was just Katie vs Cami . Katie said..if you got a problem with me tell me to my face you have been awkward with me since yesterday. I expected Cami to bite back but all she said was... no i have no problem with you i never spoke about you and after a minute of Katie trying to get a row with her Cami still backed off.   :(   I still have hope because Cami found out Katie had called her a asshole later on and that someone had said Katie owned Cami in the row.  Battle of the bitches part2? Hope so sometimes the tension of a bitchy argument can be as good as some catfights.   :) Yea i watch some rubbish lol

Another thing that grind my gears is when it's a male villain and a female villain. Through the whole movie there's a lot of catty remarks with the females and the male villain and the female hero end up fighting. Or how bout a catfight scene that cuts to 2 dudes fighting the whole time hate it

I notice in Hollyoaks they have started cutting away from the catfight a lot now Castaway. It is annoying... like being small and at the back of a crowd and you can't see the catfight going on in the middle  :) There was one reality show i used to watch and the catfights never let me down. Lots of girls that had troubled pasts like being in jail and always fighting etc were put in a house to live together and there was some really crazy catfights. I even remember one of the fights was a standup fist fight. I can't remember the name though  :(  Bad girls or something like that i think.   Here's a real catfight they did manage to keep the cameras on   :)

Sounds like Joanna is scared of you Sophie and maybe jealous of how hot you are now  ;) I imagine you got to hear some trash talk though lexman but yes once they agree to stay out of each others way there's not much chance of anything happening unless you happen to pass them and 'accidentley' push them into each other   :)

OK, I have another story, and it goes back over a decade.  This wasn't a letdown for me, but it was a number of young men, and I was the cause of their disappointment.

One day at the beginning of the lunch period, I was on my way to the school cafeteria to purchase my lunch.  I see two girls (10th or 11th graders) nose to nose in the Quad area and a small crowd of mostly boys beginning to form around them.  No doubt a fight is imminent. As an adult and a professional, it is my duty to stop this before it gets started.  So I stealth my way through the burgeoning crowd and step in between the two girls.  I put my right arm around one girl and my left arm around the other and whisper, "Look ladies, I really don't think that you want to put on a big show for these guys.  In the end you're both going to be embarrassed.  So, let's walk into the office and talk this out."  Both girls quite willingly turn toward the office and begin to walk with me.  At that point the guys cut loose with a chorus of "Boos" as I walk away with the two combatants.  As we near the office, the principal comes running outside yelling, "Where's the fight?"  Apparently someone had alerted him that something was up.  (BTW, he was total idiot.)  I told him that there was no fight and that these two young ladies should talk things out in his office.  They left with him, and I did an about-face and headed back to the cafeteria.  After all, I was hungry.  As I made my way back through the Quad I was once again lustily booed by the guys.  I saluted them as I walked by, made it into the cafeteria and had a nice lunch.

And no, I didn't feel the least bit guilty.

@ bear  You did the right thing for sure in that situation.  No doubt.  But just for the record if i was one of those teenagers i would of also been booing the shit out of you. RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!

right, totally agree with you;-)

Actually, the booing was done more in jest than in real anger.  Most of the guys were either students of mine or players that I coached.  Also, fights are not uncommon where I teach, so you don't have to wait long for another one to happen.

I think what you done is right also bear. Sometimes in school it doesn't finish after a fight and can lead to other problems like bullying if it's not checked early. I prefer school girl catfights if the girls are older and left school. Maybe like two hot women at fancy dress party getting nasty in their school girl outfits   :)

Bride Wars was a film i expected to have lots of catfights  :) but apart from the short roll about in the aisle near the end they missed plenty chances for a catfight  :(  especially when they were both trash talking each other in the restaurant.
