I think it helps, kissing is a part of sexfighting...tongues wrestling :)

My co-author Alexis likes to kiss before the sexfight...she sees it as part of the feeling out the other women before they let their pussies sort out who is best...

It's fairly important. Not vital though. I can think of a few fights I'd done with little to no kissing.
