Can someone please explain how the "time" is recorded in the messages. My computer is set to US eastern standard time and I receive messages from others in the same time zone, but their messages are listed as being posted many hours later in the day. For example I received a message marked with today's date at 11:00 am from someone in my own time zone, but yet it was marked as being posted at 7:00 pm this evening. This is very confusing.
If you take this posting down, please email me a response.
Very truly yours
Johnny
Go to Profile-->Look and Layout Preferences There should be an area called time offset which has an auto detect function. Look at the offset and if you apply the offset amount to the current forum time shown it should equal the time in your area. For example my offset is -8 hours and the current forum time shown is 6:05 PM. Take off eight hours and we get 10:05 AM my current time. A bit awkard way to verify it I know, but if you make that offset work and save it that shouldfix it.
