Hi All
John is very sick right now and is in ICU. He has Meningtis and swelling of the brain. (sorry about my spelling. Head all over the place right now)
He is stable right now. But they are keeping him asleep so he can heal.
As you guess all shoots as been cancelled for now until further notice.
I will try and get on here and keep you all updated when I can.

I am sorry to hear about his health concerns but hopefully it was treated in time and he will have a speedy recovery.
I am sorry to hear about John's medical problems.. I truly hope for a speedy recovery for him and will keep him in my prayers.
Annabelle.....please forgive my ignorance but what company are you.associated.with? Purchasing a clip or 2 from your company might be a way to lend some.level.of.remote.support to you and John during this difficult period.f
I am all too familiar with the struggle John is.under.going. this past Jan i went in for hip replaceme.f sjrvery that developed a staph infection a month later which resulted in 3 additiknal surgeries to correct the problem....i almost lost my leg and now 4 months later i remain unable to walk and looking at many many months of rehab to regain the use of my leg.....if at all......
I had never spent a day in a hospital til now......then suddenly your life is turned on its ear....suffice it to say you anx John will be in my prayers during this tough time.....modern medicine seems to be pretty good at getti.g folks well.....but it can be ugly during the process and seems to take forever......I pray for stre.gth to yoh and John to hold up under the strain.....
There is a saying that goes.....When you are doing well your friends know who you are.....but when you down and out You know who Your Friends Are........that phrase has proven very true.for me....and I was shrprised by those who have stood by me.....and those who have faded......My prayer is that you discover who your Friends truly are......and there are more than you could have imagined....... :)
We'll keep you both in our thoughts and prayers. I'm so sorry to hear this but let's hope he pulls through with a speedier than anticipated recovery

Im John wife. and we are from Femmefights. please tell me if I'm wrong but I thought John owned this forum. He has so many and I'm new to all this and just thought I would let you all know why he has not been around this week.
All will Just update you all anyway on how he doing. John had a good night last night and seems to be doing ok. Did not like having a bed bath tho lol. I think the nurse was a bit to old and looked a bit like my Mum lmol.
They are going to try and wake him up tomorrow. So fingers cross it will go ok and take on the road to recovery.
Thanks all so much for all your support and well wishes. I did pass them all on to John and he did respond by trying open his eyes but the nurse told him of and told him to rest or they will make sleep for another day lol.

I was diagnosed with the suspicion of cancer on vocalcord these days. (get the final results on 04 may) But i don't loss my fun until now :D
It have helped me last year to THINK POSITIVE so will it also these days.

He still not that good. So manything going on with him right now. After him having that massive fit caused by the menigitis. They think he may have had a minor heart attack as well.
He now has a chest infection caused by him being on the ventilator. Which is a secondary infection. And he now as problems with his stomach which has stopped moving so things a blocking up.
They may try today to wake him up again and to see how is does as he seems to get to stress out when they have tired in the past. I will let you know more as and when I can.
Many Thanks guys for all your kind words. I know he has some other forum but his computer is so confussing I'm not what is what. So if you of anyothers his has. Please do let people know there as well.

But I have some great news. John is awake and of the ventolator and is talking. He is a lttle confussed but does sort of know what has happen to him. But he also talking some funny things. Like he thought he had been kiddnapped, The world is under attack. Really funny things caused by all the drugs he had had given to him.
They tomorrow he should be alot better with all of it all and want be so confessed.

VERY good hearing things seem to be heading the right direction there.

Know it is not easy to do, when a loved one is having health issues. Yet your health is important also.

John been moved again to a sort of normal ward. And he up and about moving around. He a little sore and still a little muddled. But that will soon sort it self out.
They might let him home at the end of the week or next week. So hopefully he will be on he'll be on here catching up with you all :)

Excellent news about John! Tell him we tried to sell the site but could not get the price we wanted. Lauren just would not negotiate !!

Hi all, I just want to make a very quick post on this at the moment. I returned home late last night and whilst the body is still rather tender as I spent 6 days in an induced coma and a further 4 / 5 days in recovery, I am very pleased to have escaped this life threatening episode with pretty much most of my faculties in place (How many we had at the start of things is of course up for debate though!). A massive thanks to all the emails and well wishers. The long and short of it was I contracted this nasty little bugger - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001633/ and from a weekend of merryment where I had been at full strength to the Monday (I think?) where I collapsed and then woke up 6 days later, things seem quite sureal.
I am thankful for an amazing wife who spent most of every visiiting hour available with me whilst trying to come to terms with the impact of events, keeping everyone informed and giving me love, strength, courage and commitment to beat the blasted disease.
It is unclear as to wether or not I had a heart attack during the initial phases of the dissease and I am being sent away for tests for the heart muscle next week (just an outpatient procedure that lasts about an hour) but I anticipate being back in the full swing of things by Tues or Weds.

Lastly, I have in excesss of 500 emails to sort through today so if I haven't got back to you by the close of todays on an important email or question, please do shoot me a reminder on the Monday.

John, please dont believe what mandarin and meg say. The offer I has to sell this site Included I made it clear they have to take mandarin and Meg with it.Of course they declined, even tho they offered me 2 lifetime passes to Kings Dominion amusement park and water world, I had to say no. POO.
It's great to hear your home and on the way to recovery John. I have a friend that had meningitis about 10 years ago and he had a full recovery. I hope all goes well with the procedure for your heart and that it shows you didn't have a heart attack.
John.....happy to hear you are back home and recovering. Typically the hospitalization for meningitis is measured in weeks not days so your recovery was truly remarkable. Please go easy in the coming weeks.....you may feel better but your body was in a hell of a fight and it needs lots of rest and good nutrition to fully recover...be well my friend.....

NICE seeing some good news from somebody for a change !!
Know you have missed a lot.. YET TAKE the time you need to fully recover, and stay healthy... your body has been though a hell of a battle.. so now you need to rebuild your strength and immunity.
OH and soon as you can.. Take Annabelle out somewhere for a special dinner. The lady is aces, and your lucky to have her.
We appreciate her taking the time to keep us posted, along with everything else she had to deal with.
