Title: highest efficiency?
Post by: jessicasinger on April 30, 2011, 08:23:12 AM
Hey gals,
I'm wondering something from the fighters who have a ton of irl under their belts (joanne, angie, I'm looking at you).  We've all had the "sexiest hold" discussion, but is there one that you can ALWAYS get a win with?  Like, some of my favorite holds, I've had people escape from... SO.  If you could sink in one and only one hold and use that to get a submission/knockout, what would it be??

Really?  I gotta say, I escape breast pulls fairly regularly as long as she doesn't have me on my back or something

Well what's always effective (maybe not nice or 'safe') is a hard blow to the temple. Elbows, knees works especially well in turning out someone's lights. Holds wise chokes always work well, really any MMA submission hold 'done with feeling" should work. What I mean is..quite often in rl matches it seems to be people are applying holds like "oh well this should work..yep doing all the things you should for an arm bar" instead of doing it like "I"M BREAKING YOUR ARM IN 3...2..." which is much more likely to get a submission  ;D

And the winner of the Intenet Snark Epic fail goes to Sketch. I can only assume the person reading you my post stopped after the firstr few sentences. If discussing a move that does not  fit under the stringent guidelines of 'holds' confused Jessica or anyone else here, I sincerely apologize. Bonus points for realizing I don't look like a comic book drawing. Must be that Artiste background.
