Yes this scenario is going in the right direction. Maybe just when Julie has seized the control is when the other mother's arrives. Missing the part where they fought for dominance early all he sees is his wife being dominated with seeming ease. All while his wife tries explaining it was close before you got here. My experience was quite different, It started backwards.
I struck up a friendship with a woman when I was pregnant with my second child during antenatal classes. We both had older children and lived almost around the corner to each other.
