Title: fist city
Post by: watchourwivesfight on November 08, 2024, 07:26:14 PM
I was listening to Red, White and Booze on Sirius Radio the other day and heard an old song by Lorette Lynn called Fist City

I had never heard it before but I thought others might enjoy it

An old country classic for sure. First time I heard it was with my wife of two months on our way to the Cow Palace in San Francisco. I was aroused as all get out. When it was over I blurted out to my cute new bride, "would you go to fist city for me"? My crude and silly opener was met with a hesitation then a quite confident, " you bet I would!"  Needless to say the sex that night in the Holiday Inn at SFO was terrific. Those kind of memories are priceless for "old fans" like me.

I've read that in several interviews, Loretta openly admits the the song is about a woman her husband was seeing. There are several of her songs about 'other women' in his life.
She tells also, that a couple of times she did fight with women over him.
Good for her!
