So this is Melanie Shah, a recent winner of a BKFC UK Fight, mentioned in another thread below.
This what the winner looks like after a real fight. Notice the bruises, lacerations and swollen goose eggs around her eyes? Some would find this grotesque. I think she may never have looked more beautiful and courageous. It is very fortunate that no one sustained any major or lasting injuries from this fight.
I know from chats and message boards that many of you fantasize about tough fights, but don't expect any real injuries to be incurred. This is proof positive that those expectations are unrealistic, even for the winner, much less the loser.
My goal isn't to burst your fantasy bubble. Everyone can think or feel in the manner that is right for themselves. Its just to make sure that the differences between reality and fantasy are duly recognized.

I don't know how these fights are scored, but if the number of punches to the face count, Wilson should have won. I thought Shah landed a lot of good body shots, but she kept taking repeated hard punches to her face. I'm not surprised she looked the way she did.

It was a split decision and the scoring was close: Melanie Shah def. Mathilda Wilson via Split Decision (46-49, 48-47, 48-47)

Punches thrown in clinches are a big scoring factor, and Shah murdered Wilson with body shots in the clinches.
What a fight! These bare knuckle fighting girls are tough as nails.
I watch catfights to get aroused. This is way too violent. Not a fan of this. Sorry.
