I only stopped talking to you about this on Trillian because you didn't actually seem genuinely interested, you said you only had 30 minutes to chat (which wasn't enough time to cover the topic thoroughly, plus I hate feeling rushed when chatting about these things), and I was chatting to two other people at the time who both seemed way more genuinely interested and who didn't put a time limit on our conversation.

Instead of ghosting, you could have said, "I am chatting with two other people, so let's try some other time when we can have more time." Out of respect, I told you I only had 30 minutes before I had to leave. You could have expressed the same respect.
